Your Most Essential Financials on One Page
Getting lost in the array of financial documents you have to keep track of? What is the most essential information you need for your business was boiled down onto one page? Perhaps you might be more likely to review and update it regularly.
With this in mind, Count Me In staff, along with financial expert Ellen Rohr, prepared this spreadsheet tool you can download and adapt for your use. Illustrative numbers are included to help you get started.
Also, check out the video below, which provides background information to anyone using the tool for the first time.
When you download the template, you’ll see that within the file there are two alternate versions of the financial “snapshot.”
Version #1 compares actual results to a budget and also to the previous year’s results. So, for example, if you learn you were overly aggressive in planning your budget, you can also verify whether (and by how much) you are still ahead of last year’s numbers.
Even if you don’t have a budget, you can use Version #1 to compare this year’s performance to last year’s.
Version #2 is a little simpler – it compares actual results to a budget within a single year.

Count Me In financial expert Ellen Rohr, Bare Bones Biz, offers a brief orientation toward the “Snapshot” so you can get started adapting and using it for your own business.
